Now that spring is here, there are many things we can do for our home and car to recover from the harsh winter.
Now is a great time to get on the roof, checking that all the shingles are in place and in good condition. Check and clean out the gutters to ensure the proper flow of rainwater. Now is also the time to tune up your lawn mower, leaf blower, and other landscaping tools. Check your barbeque for loose or missing pieces and replace them as needed. Don't forget to make sure you have enough propane to be ready for that all important first barbeque of the season! Make sure you check your deck, porch, or patio for pavers or wood that need to be replaced. With pool season coming up soon, don't forget all the supplies you need to get your pool summer ready. Check that nets are all in good repair and make sure you have enough pool and spa treatments to get you started.
Checking out your car at this time of year is equally important. Check the tires to make sure they have right amount of pressure. The changing temperatures can effect tire pressure, which effects gas mileage. Now may be a good time for a tune up and oil change as well. It would also be a great time to clean out your car, vaccuming and cleaning out the car. You never you, you may find one of the kids stray gloves or hats! Clean or replace floor mats that have gotten dirty from all the snow and salt tracked in over the winter.
