The Need for Flood Insurance

FLOODING IS AMERICA’S #1 NATURAL DISASTER

EIFS President Anthony Sce has a message for all homeowners and property owners about the concern for flood this spring:

For More Information Call Us at (631)563-8433 or Toll Free at (888)343-7463.

Flooding causes more property damage than any other weather related event and it occurs in all 50 states. All it takes is a few inches of water to cause major damage to your home and all of its contents.

Homeowners Insurance does NOT cover flooding.   Flood Insurance is the best way to protect your home or your business.

You should understand potential flood vulnerabilities you may have at home.  Certain areas are prone to more risk then others and you can find your risk level by contacting us at E.I.F.S. You can also get this information from the Red Cross or the local planning and zoning department in your neighborhood.

But you should know that even if you live in a low-risk flood zone, you should still consider flood insurance.

Why Do I Need Flood Insurance If I Live In A Low-Risk Zone?

Flooding can happen ANYWHERE!

25% of all flood insurance claims come from low to moderate risk areas.*

Even if you live in a low risk area heavy rains or snow can leave the ground saturated.  The water has no place to go but into your home or office.  Poor drainage systems and broken water mains can also result in flooding.

Remember there is a 30 Day Waiting Period from the day you purchase your flood insurance until a policy goes into effect and you are covered.

Contact Us Immediately to talk to E.I.F.S. about Flood Insurance.

(631)563-8433 or E-Mail Us.
